Beach Volleyball Perfect against San Diego Christian

Just a week prior Westcliff opened up their season against (RV) San Diego Christian. They faced off again for the 2nd match of the season. This time with a different combinations of pairs for Westcliff wanted to try something different. It paid off as all 5 pairs of warriors did not concede a single set to San Diego. Every pair won out 2-0 for Westcliff victory 5-0 to open up their season 2-0 headed into conference against Park Gilbert and Benedictine Mesa on March 4th.

1st Pair (Gianna Guinasso/ Sierra Lim) -  21-19, 21-17 W

2nd Pair (Kylie Cordero / Elena Eckhardt) -  21-12, 21-15 W

3rd Pair (Madison Shepston / Megan Yoon) -  21-18, 21-14 W

4th Pair (Ava Wright / Elise Brown) -  21-17, 21-12 W

5th Pair (Kenidi MacDonald / Jesse Coralle) -  21-12, 21-17 W

Coaches' Notes

"We frequently discussed the difficulty of beating a team twice. The team understood that just because we beat them last time, it doesn't guarantee us another win. We knew that San Diego Christian had a game plan & we were going to have to make adjustments without letting our guards down. We are very proud of our team for being able to stay locked in without getting too comfortable and were able to pull out another 5-0 sweep against a talented San Diego Christian team."

What's Next? Westcliff will be facing off against Park-Gilbert and Benedictine-Mesa on March 4th.
