Warriors go 2-0 on the Day against #12 Park and Benedictine

Westcliff after three weeks without a match saw the sands on Monday morning. Westcliff opened up conference play against #12 Park-Gilbert and Benedictine-Mesa. The day was a success for the Beach Volleyball program as all 6 of their pairs won out against the competition. Westcliff against #12 Park-Gilbert went 5-0 and a few hours later defeated Benedictine-Mesa 5-0. Westcliff improves to 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. This is also Westcliff's 3rd win against a ranked opponent in the NAIA. Standout performances: Pair 1 Gianna Guinasso/Sierra Lim improved their pair record to 4-0 on the season along with Kenidi Macdonald/Jess Coralle with 4-0 as well.

Coaches' Notes

"Our team had a great conference opener today at Manhattan Beach. After three weeks without competition, it was amazing to see the athlete's incorporate our training into their game play. The team was very excited to showcase some Westcliff Beach Volleyball as today was our first time ever competing in the Cal Pac Conference. We are hoping that our team made a statement with every single pair (including our 6th pair/exhibition match) winning their match. The team finished 12-0 in matches on the day & 2-0 overall.

What's Next? Westcliff will play next Tuesday, March 15th against Division 1 Program Cal State Northridge away at 11am and 1pm.
