Westcliff Sweep Park in NAIA Pool Play

Westcliff opened up the NAIA Beach National Tournament with a statement. The Warriors told everyone in attendance that they deserve to be at this tournament. Warriors fought against wind and a very tough Park University. Gianna Guinasso and Sierra Lim won the 1st match for the Warriors quickly. They were followed quickly with Brooke Scheidle and Kylie Cordero. The last 2 set sweep was Ava Wright and Maddie Shepston. The last 2 pairs Megan Yoon/Elena Eckhardt and Elise Brown/Kenidi MacDonald. Both matches went to the last set with both pairs taking the win.

Coaches' Notes
"I thought our girls played very well at the national tournament. I believe our girls were in control the whole match. It came down to dealing with the wind and executing on the court.
I think a 5-0 win against Park helped prove to the rest of the schools in the NAIA that we deserved to be here. We are making a statement there is a reason that we are here. The girls came to compete."
