Warriors drop 3 Games against Embry-Riddle
Westcliff hosted Embry-Riddle for the Warriors first conference series as a member of the Cal Pac. The 1st Game saw the Eagles in control winning the game 10-0 on 9 hits.
The Warriors soon found their hitting rhythm in the following game.
This time the Warriors fought back down by 1 run in the 2nd game. Standout performances were from 1st Baseman Trey Harmon's 2-run Home Run to help tie the game 4-4. The Warriors right after the home run saw Evan Rocha earn an RBI single for the lead. Westcliff went into the top of the 9th with a lead of 7-4. The lead was short lived however as the Eagles scored 6 runs in the 9th Inning. The Eagles take game 2 10-7.
Saturday was the final game of the 3-game series. Game 3 saw the Warriors strike first in the bottom of the 1st. The next few innings were empty of runs. The Eagles gained the lead in the top of the 6th with the Warriors responding at the next at bat at 2 apiece.
The eagles in the top of the 8th, hit after hit improved their lead with each crack of the bat. The bottom of the 8th saw the Warriors chip at the eagles lead with a single by Daniel Esqueda. Bringing up Trey Harmon to the plate. Harmon singled up the left side sending Gonzalez and Esqueda home 7-6. The Warriors had one more shot to tie the game with a man on 1st in the bottom of the 9th. Unfortuantley the Warriors grounded into a double play to end the game.
