Coaches' Notes
Coach you mentioned that you'd rather learn lessons in a win, what lessons do you think the team learned tonight?
"late game management . Down the stretch , having to make winning plays. Our shot selection has to be better, understanding what is the best shot at that time and score of game. Converting at the FT line. Unguarded Errors that usually end up being the difference maker for us. We missed 9 tonight."
Park ran a lot of zone tonight, do you expect a similar defensive set up in tomorrow's game?
"For tomorrows game , I expect to compete against a man to man pack-line style defense . Benedictine Mesa has more size and try to influence their opponents to take tough shots over length. We will have to be patient , move the ball around, and selective with our attack; Good vs Great."
What are some keys to coming out with a third consecutive win tomorrow?
"
Selfless. Accountability . Focus . Execution. When we play for the name on the front of the rather than your last name , you are playing selfless. Being accountable to your brother doing what you are supposed to do so everyone else can do their job as well. Focusing on the goal at hand for the WHOLE 40 mins of the game. Execution on both offense and defense will allow for the best chance to score or limit opponents score."
What's Next? Westcliff go up to face Benedictine Mesa tonight at 7:00pm.
