Warriors grab First Sweep of the Season

What Happened?
Westcliff Warriors (2-3) coming off of some tough opponents this week faced Kansas Wesleyan (0-3). The Warriors heading into the match were looking to break their 3 game losing streak. Westcliff came out with something to prove. The 1st set Westcliff was on a roll quickly getting a 15-7 lead on the Coyotes. The rest of the set was controlled by the Warriors, Kill after Kill for the 25-14 set point win. The Warriors shot a game High 17 Kills in the 1st set. Kill Leaders Hendrik Duesterwald and Ghie Lubrica setting the tone for the Warriors for the rest of the match.
2nd Set was the same game plan for the Warriors. They wanted to quickly get out front and control the pace of the game. Kansas Wesleyan kept it close within reach for half of the set. A few errors from the Coyotes allowed the Warriors a good 6 point lead. The Warriors closed out the set with Kills from Hendrik Duesterwald and Andy Jaszcynski. The Warriors take the 2nd set 25-15.
The 3rd and final set saw the Coyotes fight keeping the score close at 10-10. Finally, Westcliff was able to seperate the lead with Kills from John Rzepniewski. Westcliff kept on grabbing Kills while the Coyotes kept on having a few errors. Which allowed the Warriors lead to grow. The Final Kill of the night was from Westcliff's Kill Leader Hendrik Duesterwald. Westcliff takes the 3rd set 25-19.
Final Score Westcliff Warriors 3 Kansas Wesleyan 0; (25-14, 25-15, 25-19).
