That bill just keeps coming due for Warrior opponents.
Tuesday at Chase Gym in La Mirada, the Westcliff women's basketball team took down Division II Biola, 61-54.
The Warriors, who took a 48-32 lead into the fourth quarter beat the Eagles in almost every category on the stat sheet including field goal percentage, 3-point percentage, free throw percentage, rebounding, assists and blocks, and equaled the Eagles with 15 turnovers.
"This team continues to inspire me honestly, no matter the competition they come to compete," Westcliff head coach Kyle Rouse said. "I would say today's game was very well executed by our players, efficient on the defensive end as well as the offensive end."
As usual, Trinity Vasquez and Bailey Hawkins led the way. Vasquez dropped 21 to complement 10 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and a pair of steals. Hawkins, meanwhile, scored 20 and grabbed 11 boards and three blocks.
"Trinity Vasquez had another solid outing and is someone we can always count on late in games to come up big and she did that tonight," Rouse said. "Bailey had a very complete game today both in defense and offense. She played physically and controlled the boards and recorded her 2nd straight double-double."
Biola (8-5, 4-2 Pac West) battled back in the fourth period, but the Warriors had long since put the game on ice.
"We need to do a better job staying composed down the stretch though, Biola did a great job in the 4th quarter continuing the pressure and causing turnovers," Rouse said. "Good lessons to learn from that tonight to take to our next games in conference."
Remy Hare was back in action Tuesday and came up huge on the boards, collecting a season-high 11 rebounds.
"Remy stepped up big," Rouse said. "She played a very physical game."
Up next, the Warriors (5-7, 2-0 Cal Pac) travel to Cal Maritime for a 5:30 p.m. tip Thursday night.
