What Happened?

Westcliff Warriors (8-9, 5-1) went to Arizona to face their first opponent in Park-Gilbert (12-7, 3-1). The Warriors in this match fought hard but it was not enough. Park held the Warriors to shooting 34% from the field. Park also gave the Warriors their first loss of the season in conference. Final Score 47-57.

Coaches' Notes

What were the most glaring issues that led to the team coming up short today?

"One of our most glaring issues was the fact that we couldn't buy a basket tonight. Our shooting percentage really played a huge role in our loss. Think one thing that led to a poor percentage was our shot selection as well. We had some forced shots due to the tempo of which Park played us into."

What were some positive outcomes that the team can build upon for the next matchup?

"We thought that our defense was still one of the brighter takeaways from this game. We had some key steals, rebounded when we needed to and did a good job of switching man to zone. We also do a fine job of playing until the last buzzer sounds. The thing these girls do best is never give up."

Players that stood out or played well?

"Neyha Lali played a great game, as well as Trinity Vasquez. Neyha has really been holding her own these past couple of games."
