In one of their finest performances of the season, the Westcliff women's volleyball team swept aside Marymount California Tuesday night at Goldenwest College, 25-17, 25-13, 25-17.
The Warriors took the lead early in all three sets and were never seriously challenged.
Elise Brown led the way with a game-high nine kills, while Maddie Shepston, Alexia Scott and Erykah Wilson tallied seven kills apiece.
"It was a fun game," Westcliff head coach Kenny Ma said. "It was nice that we were able to build an early lead and really start to get our entire team onto the court. We have 20 girls on the roster, and it's nice to be able to get the game time."
Rylee Adair was fantastic, both at the service line and at net, where she collected a game-high 20 assists. Taylin Natale was generous as well, handing out 11 assists.
On the defensive end, Janine Coria paced the Warriors with nine digs, and Kenidi MacDonald turned in eight.
Now the Warriors will set their sights on a Saint Katherine club that came from behind to steal a win at Jordan Lawley Center.
"We have a big game against Saint Katherine next," Ma said. "This is going to be a huge rematch. We're competing for the top of the pod. The last time we played them, we lost in five sets.
"It's going to be another close game, so it's going to be very fun."
The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday in San Marcos.
