The Westcliff women's volleyball seniors led the way Thursday night – their Senior Night – at Jordan Lawley Center, where the Warriors swept aside Marymount California, 25-17, 25-21, 25-18.
Rylee Adair and Brooke Scheidle have been cornerstone pieces in the volleyball program for four and three-plus years, respectively.
Kenidi MacDonald and Janine Coria played their first season with the Warriors in 2021 and have brought unprecedented energy and camaraderie to the program.
Fittingly, all four senior Warriors put on a show in their final home outing.
Adair (two assists), the team's veteran and fan-favorite, had a team-high 18 digs as she focused primarily on defense at libero.
MacDonald took her talents outside and showed what she could do attacking the net. She finished with 10 impressive kills to complement her usual rock-solid performance on defense (10 digs).
Scheidle shined at net on defense as she has throughout her Warrior career. She finished with five blocks (one stuff) and sent home a pair of monster kills as well.
Coria, who has seen much of her time at libero this season, came up with the play of the game, a diving save out of bounds that the Warriors converted into a thrilling winner.
Erykah Wilson dominated at net once again for the Warriors, finishing with a game-high 11 kills.
Elise Brown turned in six finishes, while Gabrielle Simms and Alexia Scott had four each.
Michelle Do was the catalyst as usual, collecting a game-high 24 assists in the middle.
Taylin Natale had seven assists and Meghan Tilschner had three assists to complement five digs.
Cydnee Reimann had three monster kills in the middle before what looked like a twisted ankle sidelined her early.
Westcliff has now won five straight matches and eight of its last 10 to bring its surging record to 12-10, and 10-5 in Cal Pac play with the postseason looming.
Three Cal Pac road contests remain.
Benedictine on Nov. 4 at 11 a.m.
Park-Gilbert on the fifth at 6 p.m.
Embry-Riddle on the sixth at 3 p.m.
