Warriors slay the Spartans
Westcliff Warriors hosted San Jose Spartans for a Saturday Night Lights matchup. The match was a high intense match with both teams going back and forth. Westcliff started off the 1st period with a 3-0 lead holding the Spartans to 0 goals. 2nd Period was a little different as San Jose was able to bounce back and extend their lead heading into the half. Warriors were down 5-4 at halftime. The 3rd and 4th period were all Warriors. Westcliff held the Spartans to only 1 goal. Extending their win streak to 5 for the season. Standout Performers

Coaches Notes
"Our focus was on faceoffs and defensive strategy. San Jose State has a powerful offense. We put in two new defenses to stall them, and our objective was to keep them under 10 goals. Our guys did just that.
Captain Avery Fye earned the gameball. His efforts started at the beginning of the week in practice and leading our defensive strategy all week and throughout the game.
Zach Souza executed as best as anyone could at the faceoff X.
He took the responsibility of our game plan and ran with it. I think he went 100% in the first quarter.
Antoine Campbell had two of our best goals as a long pole.
A special recognition goes to Rameish Jones, who experienced a family tragedy this week.
Being across the world from his home in Jamaica, this game was the truest demonstration of strength.
Rameish played exceptionally well. We dedicated this game to the Jones family, and it was a win for everyone.
Each game has been a milestone for this team and program.
This game demonstrated a higher level of mental strength and challenge processing for our team, which is a unique quality that takes a long time for young men to develop, if they develop it at all at this age.
Our guys are just getting better every day and every game.
This game also proves we have more to achieve as we also think about the depth that we need to be more competitive next year in our first official season in the MCLA and eligible for post season.
The team wants to give a special thanks to our national champion cheer team for coming out. We really needed them this game, and they delivered with hyping up the fans and our players. "
