Historic Moment for College Futsal in the US

Westcliff Futsal competed in a friendly match late Thursday night. They played against Street5-LA Futsal pro club. It was a great introduction of Westcliff Futsal action.
The scrimmage/friendly started off slow as the players found their rhythm as a unit. Westcliff took home the win 6-4.
Futsal as a collegiate sport does not exist outside of Westcliff University. Coach Todorovic along with other partners in the futsal world in the US aim to change and grow the sport at the college level.
Coaches Notes
"I was very excited, there was a mix of emotions even it was an off season game. But after very hard work to put this program together. It was amazing to see the boys play tonight.
The Team stood out to me with how quickly they were able to find their rhythm. It is a big responsibility for futsal because a lot of eyes are watching us right now.
We have a great chance to do something big for futsal in this country on the collegiate level .A lot of work is ahead of us.
It was a tough match. We came into the game little nervous because it was our first time playing a match together while the other teams have played together for a while. We were down 2-0 but still playing well and creating chances.
We turned the game around and could score a few more goals. I am very proud of the boys even the result was not the most important thing in this game, but it is always nice to win."
