Dubs do it again, this time dispatching PUC

Westcliff volleyball kept rolling Friday afternoon, sweeping Pacific Union 25–16, 25–15, 25–18 at Golden West to record its second straight sweep and tenth win of the season.
The Warriors improved to 10-12 overall and 3-3 in conference, a striking turnaround from last year's one-win campaign.
The victory sets up a celebratory Senior Night on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Orange Coast College, where Westcliff will honor the veteran core that led the program's resurgence.
Westcliff's lineup adjusted on the fly with standout hitter Stacy Folas out of action, but the offense didn't skip a beat.
Joliayns Roman slid into a new role and delivered 12 kills, Samantha Carelock added 10 kills and four blocks, and Renee Lepage contributed eight kills and three aces.
Setter Amanda Ferreira kept the offense humming with 22 assists and 13 digs.
"Today we didn't have Stacy, so Jolianyns played her spot and Lauren stepped up a bit more," head coach said. "We kind of continued our rhythm from Wednesday's match against Park. Everybody picked up the slack and hit well — around the .200 mark as a team — so it was a nice victory. We'll have Stacy back tomorrow, and we're excited for Senior Day."
The Warriors hit .183 as a team and held Pacific Union to a negative percentage, controlling each set with strong passing and steady pressure from the service line.
"It's always a different vibe playing in the middle of the day," Wakeham said. "There was a good crowd, and we're expecting even more people tomorrow. It's a lot of fun."
Westcliff will face Pacific Union again Saturday night to close out the home weekend — and celebrate the seniors who helped turn the program into a contender.
